Finances
The Infant Welfare Clinic is funded through a combination of grants,
public aid reimbursements, a sliding fee scale and Infant Welfare
Society fundraisers. In the last year the clinic received grants from
the Visiting Nurses Foundation, the Michael Reese Health Trust, the
Villages of Oak Park and Berwyn Community Development Block Grants, the
Oak Park and River Forest Community Foundation and the Illinois
Department of Public Health. Approximately
40% of the patients receive public aid. Although fees for
services are calculated on a sliding scale based on family size and
income, no patient is refused care for inability to pay. Medications and laboratory testing are subsidized if a patient has difficulty with payment. The Infant Welfare Society supports the clinic with numerous fundraisers throughout the year. The annual ASID Showcase House is the primary fundraiser supported by all the Infant Welfare members. We are also grateful to the many individual community donors who contributed to the Infant Welfare Clinic this past year. |
The Oak Park/River Forest Infant Welfare Society is a 501 C3 not-for-profit organization. |
