The Oak Park/River Forest Infant Welfare Society is an 86 year old not-for-profit organization committed to support the Infant Welfare Clinic in Oak Park, IL..


The Society is made up of 9 circles comprising over 200 women members who actively participate in raising funds to operate the clinic.  Individual circles meet monthly to plan and coordinate various fundraising events.  Past events include:

-Annual Showcase House
-Showcase House Pre-Decor Party
-The American Girl Luncheon
-Candlelight Bowl
-Holiday Housewalk
-Barbara Rinella's Book Review of
"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"

Membership includes participating in the Society-wide annual Showcase House fall fundraiser held in conjunction with the American Society of Interior Designers
(ASID).  Members are also asked to volunteer at the
Economy Shop, a not-for-profit re-sale shop where hundreds of donated household items are sold, the proceeds being divided amongst six Oak Park/River Forest agencies.

The members of the Oak Park/River Forest Infant Welfare Society have a wide variety of backgrounds and talents and new members are always welcome to share their expertise in making these fundraising events successful.
